Unequal Eats

I bought a physical card for my alpha gal allergy that’s available on their website. They emailed me to download the app to have a digital card, so I did and made an account just to find out they don’t have a digital option for alpha gal. I can’t even make a custom card and select mammals/red meat. I get that there are a lot of allergies, but at least offer the same cards that are on your own website.
Also I don’t see why I need to download an app. I just want a digital card added to my Apple wallet that is the same as what I purchased. Seems like a scam to force an app downloads to get subs and user data.
Great for Travel!

We’ve used our hard copies of our Equal Eats cards for the past year and had tremendous success using them in France, Italy and Switzerland while traveling with our 12yo with peanut and tree nut allergies. As she’s entering the age of using her own phone and devices, I love being able to have these available digitally and not just hard copies that remain with one person. It also allows my husband to use the same app to present them to waiters/chefs if he is with her dining out without me (especially since the cards seem to live in my purse!).

Works ok, but a money grab

The translations are good and we used them on our trip successfully. But the app does not work offline (a travel app!), does not remember the language you were using last, is slow to change languages, and has a greedy subscription model.
It’s clear the subscription is there just to extract recurring money from you not to add any value.
We probably would have been fine using a standard translate app instead of buying this, with all the negatives.
