Works fine once you learn how to use it

I like to record spoken versions of emails for online students (makes it more accessible regardless of reading ability) and this makes it SO easy! I just click the little icon in my status bar, record what I want, and then drop it into the email. The interface is non-intrusive and can be minimized while recording so that I can read straight from my screen. Especially life-saving is the feature to drag & drop the file straight from the little window instead of having to search for it in Finder. I'm so so grateful for this app!

This application is quite functional and meets my requirements with a very simple interface the is focused on recording. It works for what I need which is mostly vocal recording. The recordings are clear with excelent dynamics all sound are captured clearly and cleanly. The recording and continue recording function works smoothly and cleanly, no clutter here. Changing the default directory to a directory that you want to save your stuff into may seem a bit annoying everytime you open the app but it works fine. One of the key features is the file format conversion, it works like a dearm and converts the files with reasonable speed from one format to another, and you get to choose the distination directory. Just fiddle with the app a bit and you will find all that you need to complete your recording task. While there may be more sophisticated software out there, this is light and functional. The almost minimalist approach to providing a decent recording tool I appreciate. Great work Xwavesoft!!!

I have had this app for about 1 year. I have it on my Mac and IPhone. I love the ease of use & quality of the recordings.

Although a little clunky to use when starting or stopping a recording due to hzving to select the app and then select it again in the top pulldown, the recording portion of the app seems fine in the limited use i’ve given it so far. The major issue for me is the note portion while recording. Within 30 minutes of using the app I’ve had nearly half of all my note text deleted in random bunches. After typing a line or two, the app starts deleting text from the lines previously typed, and it happens both while typing, and when doing nothing, not touching my computer. Without the ability to reliably take notes to go along with the recording, unfortunztely this app has no functionality for me. I guess if you soley want to record sound, this no frills app seemed to work, although I didn’t make it past half an hour of using it before giving up on being able to use it.

I’ve used this app for several years now, and just the last few months it has begun losing recordings and freezing. This is very frustrating.

I have been looking for something this good for a couple of years. It is easy to use and all my recorded discussions come out so clear. The steps to record are painless. Thanks. It has made my concerns about documenting so much easier.

Works as advertised. Intuitive. Good quality recording. Stable. Fair price. I have not needed support so I do not know how that works. Nothing to complain about.

I love this app! I use it all the time. The recordings are good quality, it picks up sound really well, I love that it is in the menu bar so with 2 clicks it’s rolling, it’s easy to organize and access the files, they can be marked and trimmed, and it has never messed up or failed me and suits my needs and usage perfectly! (P.S. I see my username appears to be GullibleGirl since the only reviews I ever posted thus far were for apps that turned out to be scams. I’m still trying to figure out how to change that, but it has no bearing on my appreciation for this app - I have used it for at least 2-3 years and am far beyond any possibility of being gullible or duped by this one!)

love thats its in menubar, sometimes I forget its on, it would be good if this was like pocket and synced to my phone for offline
