My child recently redeemed a gift code and when he tried purchasing something with the store credit it sent a request to the app and when I approved of it, it says he has no balance it was a 50$ gift card how does he not have any balance. Please please fix this bug problem soon

Everytime I attempt to give my child permission to use a website, there is always an error message. Ridiculousness at this point. Homework is taking forever to complete.

Very frustrating - the button changes color when clicked, but does not do anything. I’m stuck on that screen, can’t go back, can’t go forward, and deleting/reloading doesn’t help at all.

Screen time is never accurate, seems to lag quite a bit. Also no way to lock down XBOX completely, can only control specific Xbox profiles meaning anyone can create a new profile and continue to use XBOX.

I’ve used this app for years and it’s always been great! Over the last few months the app works less than half the time. ‘Lock device’ doesn’t stay locked…can’t connect most of the time (says it is on their end, not mine)…time doesn’t track correctly…time limits don’t work. Please fix this app and get it back to being great! TY!

Been using this for the past year. First 6 months were great, really useful and helpful. However the past few months have been constant with either the server being offline (“Something went wrong on our end…”) or the server not tracking my son’s screen time at all for weeks at a time with no changes on our end. I have looked up what can be done about the server not tracking use and it’s a known problem with no known fix. Changing to one star: days and days of server being unavailable. For a product that’s for child safety, it’s totally unacceptable. I need to find another solution. Classic Microsoft.

Family Safety works great when it works, but when it doesn’t (which…is occasionally), it’s very frustrating. One of the biggest issues is activity not syncing from the device. That said, using the app is generally a great experience

Yep, does not track property the kids activity. I’ve put timers for Fortnite and other apps and it does not seem to track it correctly. I tried to look online for fixes and have found nothing.

Garbage, don’t use it, doesn’t work half the time, son asks to play Minecraft, I accepted the request 5 times, he still cannot play. This app is useless.

The app more or less stopped working a few months ago. Have tried various solutions to no avail. Obviously Microsoft’s goal is to get your kid addicted and make a reasonable parental control impossible.
